Anonymous GuestSo FYI Cathay pacific has blocked all inter Asia direct flights on points. I’ve done a bunch of tests, and it’s true. I’ve confirmed it with Ba, Alaska and AA. If you search a flight inter Asia with a connection, it shows up. If you search a flight with an international start with an inter Asia connection, all good. If you search just the direct inter Asia Cathay flight, no availability. Something your readers should know as I know we all valued our Avios inter Asia reward!

Close in or thru the end of the schedule? Could also be married segment logic. If it’s close in, they could also be retaining award seats for members of their own program, as some airlines choose to do.
