Capitalizing on car rentals

Capitalizing on car rentals

  1. Anonymous Guest

Do you have any favorite techniques for maximizing car rental contribution to award flying? Most of my revenue trips are Alaska Air, or AK partners where I can accrue Mileage Plan miles, but most of my spending goes on either Chase Sapphire or SPG AMEX, so I have decent balances in each of those. I usually don’t need a car, but maybe 5-6 times a year I end up renting a car for 3-4 days. United/Hertz often have some bonus offer, do any of the other companies? It doesn’t seem very worthwhile keeping the points at Hertz or Dollar or other car company. What is your favorite way of leveraging rental car spend?
