Cancelling and Reapplying to get Bonus?

Cancelling and Reapplying to get Bonus?

  1. Ctrldata New Member

I currently hold the British Airways Visa, I have not received a bonus within the past two years, I was wondering if I can cancel my current card, and then reapply, and be eligible for the current 100k mile bonus offer? The only thing I see is it prohibits current members, so I’m thinking if I cancel I wont be a ‘current card holder’. Do you think this will work? Thanks in Advance.

That should work though I’d probably wait a couple of months before reapplying. The offer is fairly new so it should be around for a while.

However, you might want to ask about downgrading or product changing the current card to something else to retain the card history, assuming there’s an eligible product. Chase doesnt allow product changes of certain cards.
