Can We Use The Singapore First Lounge on Arrival?

Can We Use The Singapore First Lounge on Arrival?

  1. Robert Hanson Diamond

Thinking of booking SQ LAX SIN, which arrives at 3AM, then on to HKG at 6:45. Arriving in SQ Suites class, and Cathy J onward. Can we use the SQ First Lounge on arrival, or would we be stuck in the horrible generic lounge CX uses at SIN?

@Robert Hanson – based on this page of the SQ website it looks like you have to be departing on an SQ flight to be able to use their lounge.

If you’re not determined to travel SQ Suites, you can save loads of miles, cash and time by flying SFO-HKG direct on SQ regular F (or of course, CX from either SFO or LAX).

Even if you’re determined to try Suites, routing SFO-ICN-SIN-HKG on SQ will price out at the same number of miles as the direct routing. You will likely find easier availability via this routing, particularly for two people, than LAX-SIN in Suites. Only caveat is stopovers are expressly prohibited for this routing, and you will only get the last sector in Suites (4hrs-ish).
