Brussels Airways Upgrade on an Air Canada ticket

Brussels Airways Upgrade on an Air Canada ticket

In August, I’ll be flying from Copenhagen to Ottawa. It’s my first solo flight, to top that off. The Copenhagen to Brussels leg is with SAS, on an SAS ticket. However, the Brussels to Toronto and then on to Ottawa portion is with an Air Canada ticket. However, Air Canada 6383 is a code share with Brussels Airlines (SN551). I was originally going to book a “Preferred” seat with Air Canada, but that’s not an option on a code share. Brussels has the option to upgrade to “Economy Privilege” for $150. They also have the option to bid for an upgrade to Business, which I would like to do. Can I do that on an Air Canada ticket, or is that impossible?

I’m not positive, but I don’t think so. I would call and ask, or just try it and see what happens, since you’ve already purchased the base ticket. 🙂
