British Airways compensation after IT meltdown

British Airways compensation after IT meltdown

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi there!

I am a US citizen who was caught in the IT meltdown of British Airways late May. I was flying from SFO to LHR where we sat on the runway for 3.5 hours and I did not get luggage for 4 days. I filed all of the required forms and paperwork to receive compensation. I got confirmation that they got it. But it has been a month and I have not heard follow up. Any thoughts on how this process is going for British Airways? How long should I continue waiting?

    Thanks for your insights!

Hi Tom. I would read some of the most recent posts on this thread on FlyerTalk about British Airways compensation. It’s about 61 pages long, but if you start looking towards the end (most recent posts), many people are relaying stories of their success/failure in getting compensation from British Airways.

It also strictly outlines the process for requesting compensation. Not saying you did it wrong, but would be worth double-checking so you get what you are due!
