Booking Korean Air with AS points
After searching through AS website for rewards I have noticed that Korean Air is usually hard to find, and almost impossible to find business class rewards for 2 people. Curious if their bookings is similar to Cathay. I know with Cathay it is fairly normal to book a single seat and after you done so another single seat pops up even though it was not showing two seats with the original search.
Thanks,
Brian
While KE releases a ton of premium space for its skypass program, it only release 1 for partners. I can’t answer if more is released closer to departure. As you know AS only allow R/T redemptions and KE has some blackout dates. CX releases a single first seat but J often has more than one. Apparently things get dicey with larger numbers trying to redeem through AS.
I have the same problem with finding AF space with AS miles. Same deal with releasing partner space (even in Y)?
AF doesn’t release much reward inventory in my experience. Check Delta and if you find some, but its not on the Alaska site call them. I can’t recall seeing any AF space on Alaskas space, not that I look for it very often.
