Best hotel redemption value for Hawaii, Maui

Best hotel redemption value for Hawaii, Maui

  1. Vanessa New Member

    Hi,

My finance and I are going to Maui, Hawaii in Sept for 8 days and was wondering what hotels will offer the best value for redemption. We have points to burn on SPG and Hilton. Should we aim to stay at Maui all 8 days or try to hit a couple other islands? We don’t want to be overwhelmed with try to see too much.

    Thanks in advance.
    V

I think 8 days is enough to see at least a couple of islands. Personally I tend to save my SPG points for flight transfers unless you can do flights and nights which is available for one property in HI. I’d look at the Hilton options and see what meets your needs and budget. I’ve stayed at the Waldorf for a special occasion and it was very nice but not sure I would always spend that many points.

    Hi @Vanessa, and welcome!

How many points do you have with each program, and what time of year will you be vacationing? Leveraging something like 5th night free could make sense, as could cash and points.
