Best award to Delhi in F

Best award to Delhi in F

I am planning a special trip to India (must arrive to and depart from Delhi) for next year and hoping to experience the best of the best F awards both ways.

I have enough AA miles to get one way on Etihad First, enough Alaska miles to get one way on either Emirates First or Cathay Pacific First, enough Singapore Airlines miles (well, not enough but can transfer from Chase) to fly in First via Singapore. So I will be using one airline one way and another on the way back.

My dates are flexible and far in the future, so I am reasonably sure I’ll be able to get the award flights. My departure point from the US is also flexible (I slightly prefer East Coast but it’s not a determining factor).
Based on your experience on these airlines in F, “price” in miles and ease of connections – which of these airlines would you recommend to use? Or any other airlines?

I dont think you can go wrong with any of those options, however:

EY and CX space are hard to come by – generally only available very last minute.

SQ may be bookable when the schedule opens but if not, they have the option to wait-list. However, in a few months, SQ’s A380 is only available on their JFK-FRA-SIN route.

EK award space sort of comes and goes I think. If you book a mixed cabin award using AS, you might have trouble changing the award later since both legs need to have new availability when changing the award using.

Aeroplan/Lifemiles/UA miles for LH F via FRA is also a great option. AA miles also work for JL, who also has a great F product.

I’d recommend that you book whatever space you can find and where the schedule works well for you.
