BA removed our pre-assigned seats

BA removed our pre-assigned seats

We are two people traveling in November MIA to LHR in paid First BA208, returning in paid Club World BA209. I checked my seats after 5 months of having them pre-assigned, but noticed the return flight seats were removed. I called BA. They stated that someone must have removed them due to a “special need”, as its not a change of equipment. Does this mean it’s an air marshall (which is fine).
Otherwise, Im a bit annoyed- (1) we now have worse seats and (2) BA never notified us. They did call me last week to explain something unrelated, though- which is odd.
Do I just write a letter to BA and call it a day? It’s very unprofessional of them. Paid a lot for these tickets.

Well. I see now that on their website it states “for operational reasons, we may give away your seats”. I called one last time. They could not explain why they removed our access-to-aisle seats together. Of course, its not an issue. Anyone reading this should just know- you need to check your BA “assigned” seats frequently- if that is somewhat important.
