Authorized User for CSR

Authorized User for CSR

  1. Anonymous Guest

So my wife got a CSR while I wait out the last month of my 5/24 period. I would like to become an authorized user but every time she adds me or I add her to a card it shows up as a credit card on our respective credit report even though we don’t provide the spouses SSN. I was wondering if you have any ideas on getting an authorized user card without it looking like I have another credit card. I was thinking just get the card issued in a fake name? My main concern about that is that the credit card would show up on someone else’s credit report.

I wouldn’t go the fake name route because it’s illegal.

The CSR charges for an authorized user card so I wouldn’t add a user just for kicks especially if you are getting your own in a month. However I have thought about getting authorized cards in my pets names. Chase is a little easier for this since they don’t ask for AU SSN unlike AmEx which does. Never tried it though.
