Australian ETA or eVisitor?

Australian ETA or eVisitor?

    Hi Ben,

    I love your blog!

Quick question – I have both a U.S. passport and a passport from an EU country. I have to go to Australia in a few weeks, and am wondering whether I should apply for the Australian ETA with my U.S. passport (at a cost of AUD$ 20) or the eVisitor authorization with my EU passport (free).

I am connecting through China, and will enter China with my U.S. passport, since I have a Chinese visa in that passport.

What have you done in the past? Does it matter which passport I use?
