AS award on CX (J to F)

AS award on CX (J to F)

  1. Anonymous Guest

I have an AS award booked JNB-HKG-LAX-SLC with a stopover in HKG on CX and AS booked in J. If CX opens up F space while I’m in HKG (so after I have taken the JNB-HKG segment), can I call AS and change the HKG-LAX segment to F for additional miles and the change fee? If it’s possible, is it worth the time and international call? F is not operated on the JNB-HKG segment.

I believe AS allows changes after start of travel (@Tiffany?). I think F on CX is pretty worthwhile if you have the miles. And your international call should be free with hangouts or skype :).

I think you also need to make sure there is AS space on LAX-SLC as well, even if you already have a seat because what they’ll be doing is canceling and rebooking your award meaning there needs to be current award availability for all future segments when rebooking. Also, I believe the $125 change fee would apply. However, it’s worth it for CX F. Have a great time!
