Application Pending for Chase Sapphire Reserved

Application Pending for Chase Sapphire Reserved

  1. wilve Member

    Hello all,

I applied through the online portal for the Chase Sapphire Reserved card, and was told by a phone agent (after verifying some information) that they needed another 7-14 business days, after which I will either receive the card in the mail, or a denial letter.

In the meantime, is there any other way I check whether or not my application was approved? Do they have a telephone number specifically for cases like mine? I’m planning some upcoming big purchases, and it would be great if I knew whether or not I got this card, since otherwise I can apply for another card with a minimum spend and pick up some points on that.

Hi @wilve, unfortunately not. There have been cases where approved cards automatically show up in your online chase account so that might be something to keep an eye on. You could also call them back to check on the status.

You can call the Chase Reconsideration Line 800-432-3117 and they can immediately tell you if it is due to the 5/24 rule and can maybe help move balances around.
