Any experience with trip insurance claims for the Citi AA Platinum Select

Any experience with trip insurance claims for the Citi AA Platinum Select

  1. Anonymous Guest

I have searched Lucky’s blogs and have only seen data points about trip insurance claims for the Citi Prestige (which I don’t have).

This month, I’m thinking of charging a $1,100 tour on my Citi AA Platinum Select I recently got approved for (and still waiting for it to arrive in the mail) to work towards my minimum spend. Although I hope to not need the complimentary insurance benefits, I would like to hear your experiences about trip cancellation/interruption claims. Was it easy to use this benefit?

I might also charge AA award taxes and fees on this card for my upcoming trip. Was claiming trip delay or baggage delay with Citi AA straightforward?
