ANA first and business booking

ANA first and business booking

  1. Anonymous Guest

I’m hoping to book first or business class tickets on ANA for roundtrip tickets from the US to Tokyo. Is it better to move miles to United, Virgin Atlantic, or ANA. The downside with moving miles to ANA is the up to 48 hour lag time. Are more seats available directly with ANA and will they hold a reservation while the miles are being transferred?

Virgin Atlantic is by far the best deal, since you can score roundtrips in First for just 120k miles – it’s one of the sweetest spots out there, and I’ve used it time and again. Transfer from Amex is instant, which is great so I can be on the phone with an agent to confirm availability and transfer immediately when they give me the green light.

That being said, ANA does have more availability than their partners. I don’t think that ANA allows for holds, but I may be wrong (haven’t booked through them in a long time).
