Amex platinum MR points revoked

Amex platinum MR points revoked

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello,
I received 100,000 Amex MR points on the deal this past June. Last week Amex revoked all of them stating that I was ineligible since I previously had the platinum card through Ameriprise. I thought those were two different products especially since the Ameriprise card had no sign up bonus. Any suggestions or feed back on ways of trying to get those points back?

I assume you have already appealed to them to award the points. Next move would be the CFPB. There were reports that AmEx was clawing back based on MS to get bonus. Are you sure that is not the case for you?

Yes, I have reached out to AmEX, they just keep saying I am ineligible since I had the Ameriprise card before (although I never got a bonus).

I would read the terms thoroughly and contact the CPFB.
