Amex Plat card authorized user – new card at credit bureau?

Amex Plat card authorized user – new card at credit bureau?

    Hi Lucky, and everyone,

I have had the Amex Plat personal for a year. The fee is coming due. My spouse also has the Amex Plat and the Amex Biz cards. Two questions: (1) if I cancel my card and become his authorized user on the personal card, will it show as a new account on my credit bureau? (I’m working down from 7/24 towards 5/24.) (2) I have two authorized users on my Amex Plat now. If I don’t cancel, but just cough up the $450 fee, do I also have to pay another $175 for them each year, or was that a one time thing?

I’m thinking to put myself and the two AU on my account onto his Amex Plat personal. Am hoping there is a way to convert my present card to be his AU without having it show as a new account.

    Thanks!
