Amex Business Plus or Barclay Arrival

Amex Business Plus or Barclay Arrival

Looking for a good card for everyday spend. Ideally a MC would be nice but even though both cards are technically 2x, MR are usually a better value. Thoughts?

Depends on your travel patterns. Are you looking for business/first airfare? You’ll do better with MRs as long as you can find award space. You can also book some kinds of travel via the Amex MR portal and use MRs like cash.

If you need to travel at specific times or book via a travel agent, etc. you may come out ahead with the ArrivalPlus card. I’ve used A+ points to offset cruises and other types of prepaid vacations though I might use MRs to get my airfare to/from the cruise port.

This is one reason it’s a good idea to have multiple types of points currencies.
