American Platinum status Challenge

American Platinum status Challenge

  1. Rohit New Member

    Hi Lucky,

Love your blog,I have learned so much from you! I had a quick question about American’s Status Challenge’s

I don’t have status with American, can I still request to do the status challenge because I have about 14,500 worth of EQM’s planned in the next 2 months.

Also once I get Platinum stats how many more miles do I need to keep the status thru 2017.

    Thanks!

@Rohit as this post mentions (http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/01/05/how-to-do-an-american-aadvantage-status-challenge/) your challenge status will last through the beginning of 2017 if you do it now. If you would like to maintain status you would need to meet the usual qualification requirements for next year (http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/eliteStatus/main.jsp).
