American flight 399, DFW-ANC first class?

American flight 399, DFW-ANC first class?

  1. Edward Podlasinski New Member

I have been flying the American DFW-ANC route for several years now using my Advantage miles.

The flight disappeared for a bit and now has re-emerged as AA flight 399. First class seats have been reduced to 16 and the 757 on paper looks very much like the international configuration.

I have called American and nobody seems to know.

Is AA flight 399 from DFW-ANC now configured with lie flat seats in First/Business???

If there are 16 first class seats (4 rows – 2 x 2 seating), then yes… it is lie flat seat configuration.

I was on this plane in first class just last week (Miami to Dallas), and the flight attendant said that the plane was headed to Alaska next.

I don’t see an AA399 loaded in the GDS, but here is the seatmap for the 1x daily DFW-ANC, operating as AA148:

I only see this in September and the first few days of October (the non-stop flight seems to be seasonal?), so this is likely an aircraft utilization thing and not a new feature of the route.

This is the July 11 2019 flight. AA just started booking it this week. Yes it is seasonal for the cruise and salmon season in AK.

In the past it had 24 recliner seats in 6 rows.
