American A321

    Hi guys,

I was booking a flight from JFK-BOS (AA 1039) and I came across the seat map, which I thought was quite odd. It had Main Cabin Extra starting in row 11 and Economy seats from 5-10 in 2-2… I did some research and PRETTY much confirmed that this is the Transatlantic A321. Of course I can 100% confirm till I get on the plane, but I have a few questions:
    1. Has anyone ever flown this route and can confirm this seat set up?
    2. Has anyone ever seen something like this? Seems like a waste. Only reason I could think of is AA is trying to reduce down time.

this is the transcontinental version of the A321 usually uses on JFK-SFO and JFK-LAX in a 3 class config, from experience the first class cabin is used for first, the business class cabin is treated as economy (yes not even considered Main cabin extra). and then main cabin extra is normal main cabin extra (costs more than the economy treated business class seats) and main cabin is main cabin
