Alaska partner award Alaskan leg availability

Alaska partner award Alaskan leg availability

This summer my fiancé and I will be traveling back to the states via LAX on Cathay in business with Alaska miles, I’ll probably book the one way tics within 10 days of the departure unless of course some pop up before then. My question is the required Alaska connection needed to one of the three airports in the Washington area. I have looked at last minute awards on Alaska from LAX to WAS and there is availability, but will Alaska give these seats on partner awards so close to departure? Do the seats have to be lowest fare? Thanks for any input!

@MdBoater, if the seats are available then they are available to be combined with partner awards. If AS thinks they can get more money out of them they will move them to a revenue booking class but as long as award space is showing available you should be able to book it.

If you want to set an alert on ExpertFlyer, you’re looking for “W” for economy award space, and “A” for first class award space. Those are the only booking classes that can be combined with partner awards without increasing the mileage requirement 🙂
