Alaska dropping RDU-SFO?

Alaska dropping RDU-SFO?

  1. AJP New Member

Not the exciting questions y’all come up with here, but I just tried to book a business trip RDU-SFO roundtrip, which I’ve done on the Alaska flight before. The flight doesn’t come up in November, which is when I’m going. Looks like the last instance of it is on November 5. Any word on when/why/how this happened? Really not looking forward to flying UA….

Well it looks like AS has published flight info until the end of the winter program. But it does not look like the morning departure is a daily in early November? Seems to be back too being a daily flight from late November,

OK so after a bit more reading on Nov 5 the flight from RDU shifts from being a morning flight to being an evening flight, this flight operates until March 2020.

Starting Nov 21 the morning flight is back and will operate until the end of the current program in March 2020.

Simply put you seem to be just unlucky with you timing, but the flight is not going away long term, seems to be going 2X daily instead.

Thanks for the link. Actually it includes:

    Daily 18:50 Raleigh/Durham (RDU) 2 21:35 San Francisco (SFO)
    AS 709 Non-stop Boeing 737-900 (739) 5:45 Effective 2019-11-05 through 2019-11-20

which suggests it should be in service, no?
