Alaska Airlines baggage allowance after upgrade

Alaska Airlines baggage allowance after upgrade

  1. Anonymous Guest

I bought an Alaska ticket on coach. During online check-in I paid $30 for a checked bag. Six hours before the flight I saw the cabin was fuller than I would have liked, so I paid $200 to upgrade to first. I vaguely remember seeing on the screen that my baggage allowance would be 2 checked bags. After the flight I wrote to Alaska asking if they would refund the $30 that I’d already paid before upgrading. They wrote back to say that the baggage allowance of the originally booked cabin would apply, so I couldn’t get a refund. I’m unable to find anything online about baggage allowance after a paid upgrade. Do you know whether I have a chance of getting the refund?
