Unfortunately, Air France restricts award bookings in first class to only elite members of their own program FlyingBlue. Also AF/KLM, in general, won’t be an option for booking anymore since they cut ties with Alaska earlier in 2018. To get to Paris, Alaska will probably display a mix of BA, AA, and IcelandAir awards. If you want first class with the best availability, looking for a BA F award is probably your best bet and can be searched directly from Alaska’s website. Maybe even try placing yourself in a different city within the US to start the award if you are ok with the cost of flying there if PDX is coming up dry in award availability. Hope this helps!
If you have a ton of miles and *really* want to splurge, book PDX-JFK on Alaska and then JFK-MXP on Emirates First Class, though you’d need to book a separate ticket for MXP-CDG. Or, fly the long way and connect in Dubai
