Airport question re IAH

Airport question re IAH

Traveling IAH to NRT via ANA. Do you by chance know if you can check in at terminal D and then go through security in E, or must you go through D security, which I’ve heard is much slower? Also, how do you then get to the Polaris lounge in E? I’ve looked at the United maps and they don’t really show how you go from D to E.

Looking at the Airport Directory map found on the IAH website (https://www.fly2houston.com/iah/maps/) it appears that D & E are on opposite sides of the same central area so if you even can walk from E to D outside security, it would be a long way around.

Now, once you get airside you can walk over to the Polaris lounge, which is at E12 and is adjacent to the United Club. It appears that ANA doesn’t have its own lounge so it uses these clubs too.
