Hi all I have a couple of qns if people had thoughts. Thanks in advance! I am looking at a safari in July 2017 and would like to use points. I have about 200k united points and 150k each of ultimate rewards and ThankYou points. I am also happy to buy points. I see some availability on united in business including Ethiopian. However I also see flights for Aroind $3900 return on Klm and Swiss. Klm especially has nice timing. Is it worth buying miles if I can fly at this price? Shoild I buy flights and book safari later? Any preference on airport? Nairobi cape town or Jnb? Sorry. Very open ended qn!!!

Hi @Mick, you’re right it is very open ended which makes it difficult to answer. I would first pick out where you want to go… Kenya and SA are two very different destinations, then book your flight tickets and then finalize your safari. The decision to use miles/cash will depend on how much you have of each and how you value them so again only a question you can answer!
