AF 1st Class Award Ticket Change Policy
Hi OMAT team and community!
Quick question in regards to AF/Flying Blue award reservation policy.
I have an existing roundtrip reservation in la premier from LAX to CDG. I need to make a change to the return segment…..but am being told that in order to do this has to book an entirely new ticket (including the outbound flight). Of course, our current outbound flight is sold out.
Does the above policy sound incorrect? Seems strange that they can’t keep the outbound and change the return. Is this a case of hang up and dial again? Or was the agent correct? I asked for a supervisor but was told “it’s against Flying Blue policy to transfer a customer to a supervisor” (which also seems odd).
Thanks for any insights you can share!
Cheers,
Liam
Hi all, I got my questioned answered by another agent at AF. This is indeed the policy (to cancel all segments and reissue the entire ticket).
TO ANYONE BOOKING AF AWARD TICKETS–BOOK AS ONE WAY SEGMENTS TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM…..in my case, the miles and fees would have been exactly the same and we could have changed our return without any hassle.
