Aeroplan Lufthansa First Blockinn

Aeroplan Lufthansa First Blockinn

Ben, I learned to love Lufthansa first after reading your blog starting years ago (7-8 years ago I believe). Since then I’ve flown Lufthansa first 60 + times. I’ve used AMEX transfers to Aeroplan almost exclusively as I have an unlimited supply of AMEX membership rewards points due to my business. However I’ve noticed a troubling trend. The last three Lufthansa first redemptions I’ve booked on Aeroplan including on I booked today were booked via the call center. Online it never shows the availability and when I call it in they never have a problem. I never make a fuss because I don’t want to rock the boat but it’s clearly something in their system. I’ve booked 3 times in LH first since December 1. United, ANA and others all show the space. Aeroplans website doesn’t. Is there a change in policy? Is Aeroplan engaging in star blocking?

Hi Bill! The website is a bit rough lately, so I’d chalk it up to bad IT. Doubt it’s anything nefarious, though is certainly frustrating.
