Aeroplan cancelling
How do I actually cancel and Aeroplan ticket? I go to Managing your Rewards–my ticket comes up–but then what do i do to cancel it and get a refund??
P.S. I find their customer service abysmal!!
I think you have to call to process cancellation and redeposit of the miles, which will be $90CAD

I think you’re right–despite what their site says! Problem is trying to get them on the line (from London), is incredibly frustrating–waited one hour yesterday, just to be cut off before I could speak with a human being!! Is there no way to get through to this organization??? Thanks, Best Barry
I had similar issues and it’s really just waiting on hold. I waited maybe 90 minutes before I got someone but they were friendly and helped me pretty quickly and efficiently.
Try calling right when they open, you might have an easier time. Their cutbacks on call centers are unfortunate.
Agree they’re friendly–the people you finally get to–but it’s their bosses who are criminal!
No faster way, unfortunately. I spend about half my life holding for Aeroplan.
Understood, i’ve also spent hours holding for them–Isn’t there anything that can be done? No one to complain to? No consumer agency? Nothing?
Nope. Air Canada had to basically sell off their loyalty program to make ends meet several years back. Aeroplan is horrible, AC knows it, but there’s not much that can be done at present, unfortunately.
