Advice on how best to find first or business seats from Seattle to Capetown

DavidU New MemberTrying to plan a trip in the next 7 -9 months from Seattle to Capetown. I’d prefer to fly business or First. With Alaska air miles I am limited to either British Air, Condor, Emirates or Cathay Pacific.
Scanning what is currently out there it looks impossible to find anything that is a straight business or a straight first class ticket. Is there a trick to this? Is it best to call in and check? If so, is there a particular day of the week that is best? -

Search by segment? Cathay’s awards don’t show up on Alaska’s website, you’d have to search on British Airway, JAL or Qantas’s website. Or call Alaska.
