the maximizer New MemberI have 1K status on United. If I purchase United tickets on my Amex Platinum for the 5x reward, do I still get the United mileage multiplier that my 1K status gives me? Or do I need to purchase the miles with a United card? Just want to know if I can double dip.

I think you can double dip. I think multipliers are linked to your FFN and not the card you used to pay with.
