AA137 gone on Nov. 24?

AA137 gone on Nov. 24?

    Hi Ben,

Booked a trip to HKG long ago with SWU waitlisted. However, the segment AA 137 DFW-HKG on November 24, 2015 mysteriously disappeared from my itin (this happened in late August and I first got alerted by awardwallet). I checked the schedule at ExpertFlyer — AA137 is operated everyday except on Nov. 24 and Dec. 24. It seems there is a computer glitch of sorts and the schedules loaded somehow have two gaps at those two days. I called AA Exp desk several times and got conflicting answers: nobody knew what’s going on. So now I have the following options:

    1) Keep waiting and hope the flight comes back (that it’s indeed a computer glitch and will get sorted out in due time).
    2) Try to rebook now. As I do have to travel on that day, I would try to change the destination (e.g. to PVG) while staying on AA metal so as to preserve the SWU.

Which option would you recommend? If I rebook later on a different flight, would the original SWU waitlisting time stamp be carried over, or it’s the time stamp on the day of rebooking counts?

Thanks so much for your advice in advance!

    Best,
    Arthur
