AA with 20% off Discount

AA with 20% off Discount

  1. Daniel Saud New Member

    Hi Ben and Everyone else,

So i’m facing a dilemma regarding loyalty to AAdvantage. I can’t figure out if i should leave Advantage and join either United or Delta or should i stay with AA, and here is why. I live in Toronto and United and Delta both do not require EQD for Canadian residents, but my spouse works for American and I get a 20% discount on purchasing tickets. So what i can’t decide is do i just use the discount and stick with AA or give up my discount and take my loyalty to United.

    What do you think?

hi @Daniel Saud, welcome! I guess the first question is if you can hit the EQD requirements. If not then you’ll need to figure out whether elite perks make it worthwhile for you give up the 20% discount. These things tend to be pretty personal depending on how you value the chance of an upgrade or free luggage, how much you plan to travel, etc. so it’s hard for anyone to make a decision for you. Good luck!
