AA requesting missing flight miles

AA requesting missing flight miles

I’ve been having trouble requesting missing miles for an EY flight using AA’s online request tool. I’ve triple checked all the information but I keep getting an error message saying “A valid AAdvantage number is required, please verify your entry and resubmit”. Anyone else encounter the same problem or know of any workarounds?

I’ve been having trouble with the award search tool and the AA.com folks told me to log in and that fixed the issue. Maybe that would help? You don’t have an extra space at the end of your AA number, do you? Totally grasping at straws here.

Thanks MidSouth. I was actually logged in and the field was prepopulated with my FF number. That’s what makes it so frustrating. I deleted and retyped it to no benefit too. Will just have to call web support I suppose.

I would just call AAdvantage customer service, honestly. They’ll send an email if they need documentation, and it’s much easier than the dumb website nowadays.
