AA miles to Europe -Summer 2016
Am I too late or too early to have luck finding 3 biz tickets to Europe this summer? Lots of material says to start looking 6 months out, and so far the best I’ve done are two tickets (PIT-CLT-BOS-MAD) on AA & Iberia but that leaves the odd person out in economy.
I am new to Expert Flyer and still figuring it out but pretty comfortable with AA and BA .com; any suggestions on what Oneworld carriers and routes may help us to find 3 award seats? We live in PIT.
I should also mention I would rather fly economy than pay BA fuel surcharges.

@ChrisB. I would book the business/economy combo and keep looking. AA allows free changes as long as your origin/destination are the same or you are upgrading your class of service. Award space can be unpredictable and opens up all the time.
lucked out today! AA.com showed a return trip of BCN-JFK-PIT for 3 in Biz, so I put that on hold for 150K AAdvantage miles for travel on AA metal (+$450 <- why so high??), then put a departure of PIT-CLT-BOS on hold in economy, and used Iberia avios to book BOS-MAD in biz for 3 with the outbound totaling 102K avios +$250.
Glad it worked out. AA does pass on IB surcharges (smaller than BA but still annoying).
