AA LAX Flagship – can guest someone.
Hey OMAATimers, I’ll be at LAX Flagship Lounge in about 3.5 hours (7 pm PDT on Thursday 10/31). I can guest someone in to the Lounge and FFD as dining as well.
After repeatedly telling @Mikewarren1000 that FFD is not worth it, I am going to give it a try before heading to Qantas F lounge. I think I can guest someone in there as well.
If interested, start a Conversation (top right, click on your name) with me and we’ll connect at LAX.
Pretty sure it has to be International First not Transcon First and you can then bring a Guest.. That lounge is the weakest of the Flagship’s and if the food is coming from the same kitchen that sends out the buffet (and of course it is) I wouldnt even walk the 10 min walk and just stick to Qantas F lounge

I am flying AA F LAX to HKG tonight. OWE gets me into Qantas F, but AA F gets me into FFD and Q F with a guest.
I’m not holding my breath that FFD will be great, but I feel I need to try it. That and Flagship check-in.
FWIW, the food is good, but not great. I will post more later, but for now, the FFD is probably the best airport food I’ve had in North America, lounge or restaurant. Had two appetizers, both really good. Wine is passable. Frankly a disappointing selection. 3 whites, 3 reds, 2 sparkling. 2 reds were rather plain. 1 was good. The entree I tried was very good – I’d be happy paying $25-30 in a major city restaurant for it – the sea bass.
Thats good to hear b/c the rest of that lounge is nothing, no diff. than the Admirals next door… How was Flagship First check in.. Did you go up the elevator and get the escort to front of the Tsa line?
Yes, the FFD area is much quieter than the Flagship Lounge, which was crowded and loud. I’ve said before that the FL is only better than the AC in that it is slightly less crowded and the wine is better and the booze free.
FFD was nice. Food was good. There were only 3 of us in there (and 4 employees) the entire time (70 minutes) I was in there.
I still like Qantas F lounge, but it is loud (who cares, have my iPod on) and crowded. FFD is much nicer. And smaller. But as a OWE I can always access Qantas F… I would take it over Flagship Lounge, but not FFD. Next time I’ll stay in FFD for 3 hours.
I hope the breakfast spread at the buffet will be good. My next time there will be for breakfast in advance of a 10am to Haneda. No F on the plane……SO DUMB to not let J in to the restaurant. If its a flight with J but no F they should allow. Although, that place is so small i bet they cant handle that many people and be able to execute properly. Polaris seems to manage letting everyone in to dining but then again there overall admittance is stricker. Hoping for better breakfast than the disgusting and horrible lunch buffet earlier this month
