AA credit card authorized user benefits

AA credit card authorized user benefits

Hello,
Do AA platinum authorized user get separate benefits in terms of checked bags?
We are family of 3 and will be checking 6 bags for our upcoming international travel. Will we be able to check all 6 bags free if me and my wife(authorized user) traveling together as we have 2 separate CC.

Thanks.

FA.

Welcome @Faisal Akbar – the 3 free checked bags are for elite members who have reached the Executive Platinum level, not for those who hold the Citibank AA Platinum MasterCard.

With the credit card you get one free checked bag on domestic itineraries:
For the Citi® / AAdvantage® card, up to four (4) customers traveling with the eligible primary cardmember will also get their first checked bag free of charge if they are listed in the same reservation.

For most international travel, the first bag is free, regardless of which cabin you’re traveling in. But for trans-Atlantic flights, the 2nd bag is a whopping $100 per person and bags 3+ are $200 each. If you’re flying trans-Pacific, the first two bags are free and bags 3+ are $200. If you’re traveling in a premium cabin, you’ll have more checked bags included.

We are just getting connecting flight on AA for our transpacific flight. We will have 6 bags in total. Being a primary CC holder, we can check 3 bags for free as we have 3 tickets. Being my wife an authorized user, is she allowed the same benefit as a primary member.

Oh, I see. No, the waiver is only good for one checked bag per person so you’d each have to pay the 2nd bag fee.
