A couple months ago I booked 4 economy anytime tickets (45k/ticket) from DFW > FRA for travel in September 2016. A couple days ago, I was looking around and saw 4 business/firstmileSAAver awards available for the same flight at 50k/ticket. I believe the plane is a boeing 777-200 with an old business class product that I have seen mixed reviews on. Is it still worth it to upgrade to business class since it would only be 5k more per ticket? Also, AA says on their website they are retrofitting their 777-200 fleets, any idea of when they might finish retrofitting their planes and/or what flights might already be done? Thanks so much for the input.

[USER=1585]@Tim[/USER] — Welcome! Not sure if the refurb will be done by then, but [I]any[/I] business is better than any economy, and booking saver space in business is absolutely a better value than AAnytime awards in economy. I would absolutely do it.

I’m not sure, because it’s technically a change in award type. Might depend on the agent.
