AA business award upgrade change

AA business award upgrade change

  1. AHB New Member

Hi all, I already paid the fee and miles for a business upgrade from DFW-PEK, but now I need to make a change. There is no award upgrade availability on the new flight. AA states that I will loose the fees and the miles if an award doesn’t open up. Its this true? shouldn’t they reimburse at least the miles?

    Thanks

    AHB

Hi @AHB! I’m a little unclear here — is this a paid ticket you’ve upgraded using miles? Do you have any other segments on the itinerary?

Hi Tiffany, yes its a paid ticket and then I paid the fee and miles for the upgrade. I only got the upgrade for the inbound leg, which is the one I need to change. Right now I have an upgrade DFW-PEK, now I need to go through NRT, and there is no upgrade availability from DFW/ORD/LAX-NRT/HND

@AHB – what about via SAN/JFK to NRT or SFO to HND?
