AA/BA Short Haul award flights

AA/BA Short Haul award flights

  1. milo New Member

I have a question about AA and BA short haul. If I’m correct I can use avios to book AA short haul award flights, correct? Does that work on any AA short haul flights? I’m in Chicago and have family in Rochester, MN but normally I’d have to fly to MSP and then drive to Rochester, which has it’s own little airport that AA services, RST. And ORD>RST is in the AA’s 7500 short haul. So that means I could call in BA to book that AA flight using avios?

Hi @milo, and welcome! You should be able to book it online: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/07/14/american-award-flights-bookable-online-with-ba-avios-again/

(the prices in that post are old, but the instructions are good)

Correct, as long as there is saver award availability at that price.
