AA/BA or LH Award availabilty

Hello Experts. I am looking for a Business / First flight or AA/BA or LifeMiles from Europe to San Diego/ LA area at the end of October. I see some options but they are not great. it will take me almost 22 hours to get home unless I take some portions on Economy. Do AA/BA or LH/LM release award flights closer to the day? If they dont i will just pull the Trigger on whatever is available now. Thank you

While I know you’d like to fly directly to the west coast are you open to stopping on the east coast (JFK/EWR/IAD/YYZ/MIA) or mid-continent (ORD/DFW/IAH/DEN) and connecting from there? I saw a couple of LH flights to IAD from FRA & MUC on 10/30. I don’t know how the connection times/award availability would work for you.

Thank you, I am hoping to travel on the 31st or Nov 1st. I will do 30th if i dont find any other options. My Star Alliance points are through lifelines and they have been disappointing. I see BA to London to PHL to LAX and then drive to SAN. I was hoping to find something better.

    What about this on 10/31:
Leave LHR at 0940, arrive SEA 1234 on BA
Leave SEA at 1550, arrive SAN 1830 on AS

The second leg is in economy but….

With regards to the original question, yes LH does release space within a couple of weeks of departure.

    Thank you All
I still have a bit of time, I have my outbound and hopefully I can find something thing that works better. Regarding the London- Seattle flight I start in Vienna so I have to figure that portion out as well.
