AA Award availability
I want to book 2 business class flights on Cathay Pacific using AAdvantage miles. The British airways website shows 3 seats available, but when I call AA they tell me there is only 1 seat available. I point out the 3 seat availability using Avios, but AA insists that Cathay has only released 1 seat to them. Is this type of discrepancy common? Any advice to push AA to look into this problem? Worth speaking to an AA supervisor?
Are you searching a single segment? Have you verified that the space is available using the JAL or Qantas tools? Sometimes BA shows phantom space: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2014/02/27/phantom-cathay-pacific-award-space/
@Tiffany I’m going to be in the same boat here in about 3 months. I’ll be eyeing J award space on CX while in HKG. How do you suggest I get ahold of the fine folks at AA while abroad?
@PassengerPoldberg AA has international offices you can call or you can use hangouts or skype to call the US number.
