65K Citi Thankyou points

65K Citi Thankyou points

    Hello,

The annual fee of $95 for my Citi TY Premier CC has posted and I have about 65K TY points in the account. Since an earning rate of Chase Reserve card is more attractive, I usually put most of my spending NOT on the Citi TY Premier card. So if I decide to close the a/c, what is the best way to use it or the best partners to transfer the points for now? FYI, I don’t have any immediate plan for travel.
Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    That’s tough…

LifeMiles would be good since you can buy additional miles, if necessary, when ticketing an award. But I dont know their mileage expiration policy and their call center is crap.

AsiaMiles has a 15% bonus and you can access OneWorld airlines. Dont know their mileage expiration policy though and they pass on some fuel charges I think.

SQ will get you on their metal in a premium cabin but its a 36 month hard expiration for the miles.

Virgin Atlantic is good for ANA F but round trip is required.
