3-mth hotel stay, which one to choose?

3-mth hotel stay, which one to choose?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi, I am being sent to a west coast place for three months (Dec ’16, Jan & Feb ’17) and am given a hotel budget of about $10k. Any advice how to make the most of it?

I am interested in receiving the most hotel points (regular and/or promo) for this period, and in addition perhaps elite status with a chain (no strong preference which one). Any other advantage because it crosses calendar years?

There are Marriott, HH and IHG hotels around the place, and maybe SPG, etc as well. Don’t currently have status with any chain. Thanks!

For that long a period, I’d make sure you find something that was convenient for your work and day to day life. Whatever you choose, make sure you are aware of their maximum stay limit. Most chains will not award points for stays longer than 30 or so days. So if you have to, make sure to check out for a night to reset your clock.
