250k Velocity Points offer – our experience

250k Velocity Points offer – our experience

1. ozbird

Hi, new to the forum, but love your site. Thought I would share our experience with an Australian bank as we enter into their offer for a whopping 250 thousand Velocity points for those wishing to take out a new home loan, or refinance an existing one (like us).
This is a huge commitment I know, much bigger than a credit card, so I am hoping to give others Aussies a perspective of the process. The offer has not been widely publicised in media but so far, their communication, product knowledge and enthusiasm has been pretty good. I am nervous at the prospect of signing the next two decades away for some silly points, but yes folks – I am THAT superficial….
Their linked credit card also boasts 60,000 points and I am going to ask if that comes on top or whether it is included in the quota.
Wish me luck!

Welcome to the forum @ozbird.
Thanks for sharing the info.
I am in the US and will not be applying for any of these.
Still out of curiosity – would you mind shedding some light on “Velocity Points”? I am interested to know about what are they useful for? How much are they worth? etc.
