200,000 Chase rewards points best Japan flight redeeming strategy?

    Hi Lucky!

Planning on a trip to Japan next April and I have 200,000 chase reward points. Wondering what is the best strategy to maximize them on a flight ticket to Japan. Which would be the best airline to use in your opinion. Thanks for all of your help!

    Hi Lucky!

Wondering what is the best way to maximize these point for a flight to japan next April from NYC. Which airline would you also suggest is the best for flying there. Thanks for all of your help!

Depends how many tickets you need. The cheapest way I know of is transferring 70k points and flying United Economy (given how expensive their economy fares to Japan can be, I would peg this as a good value). You can also get almost 3 of those tickets if you needed. If you want to fly First Class, transfer 120k miles to Virgin Atlantic to book ANA First. In my experience, they release a lot of First award space from the US in advance, though you may need to position to another ANA city based on availability

You can transfer to Korean Air and fly with them. They release a decent amount of award space. 125k round trip in business or 160k in first.
