With massive AA FFP devaluation, what strategy do you recommend?

With massive AA FFP devaluation, what strategy do you recommend?

  1. Anonymous Guest

With the strongly rumored devaluation, do you have any recommendations on other FFPs for Europe/Asia travel? I am personally thinking about crediting all my AA/DAL/EK flying to Alaska and focusing my CC spending on hotel cards and transferable points (Amex/Chase). But wondering if there are any European or Asian carriers that offered SWUs with status?

Most likely within a year after the devaluation is officially announced, I think there will be a foreign carrier or even a domestic LCC that will up the game and in 3-5 years, one of the B3 will reverse course as they bleed market share to LCCs and Asian carriers, but until them, I am reevaluating my strategy.
