United Star Alliance Upgrade

United Star Alliance Upgrade

Trying to process a star alliance upgrade on ANA using United miles through United’s website. ANA has a request exception stating requests must be made within 56 days (8 weeks) of departure. Class of service is Z on ANA so it appears to be eligible.

Curious to know, is this within 56 days of the segment or the start of whole itinerary? Thanks!

@JustinB I’m not 100% certain of this but since UA can only upgrade a single segment, it would seem like the 56 day clock would start from that segment. @Tiffany?

I was able to call United and they showed availability for the return segment and stated I could book. It is outside of 56 days but luckily it went through, and the ANA Website shows the upgrade. I’ll call that a win!
